Must. Make.
Elefante
-Pattern: http://www.knitterella.com/SusanBAnderson/ElefantePattern.pdf
-Inspired by: http://needlesedge.blogspot.com/2007/11/it-is-5-am-and-you-are-listening.html
...Scroll down for a super cute "waddle" shot. =)
Meanwhile I have started knitting myself a sweater that I won't be able to wear for at least a couple of months anyway, so I'm taking my time with it. Pattern here: http://www.garnstudio.com/lang/en/visoppskrift.php?d_nr=103&d_id=1
I chose cheap yarn because I loved the colors, but I really regret it because it feels terrible, and I have a lot of stockinette to go yet on the back alone. I may end up frogging, but cheap yarn or otherwise, I don't want to waste it, so I'm torn.
I also fashioned a fair isle mitten a few nights ago. I was inspired by Corazon but made so many modifications that my mitten turned out nothing like it. I all but finished the first mitten before frogging, but I will eventually make it again with a few additional mods.
Oh, and Ravelry? I'm finding it very useful.
Ok, back to the parade. Enjoy your feast and give many thanks!

November - All About Tom
I think I had forgotten how many school days we used to have off in November. Thomas now has as many half days as he does full days off. While it was tricky with my work schedule, I have managed to swing some changes in order to spend a little extra time home with him, and I'm really looking forward to that. He is so busy having fun and learning, and when he is at school he's always doing something new and exciting. -The above pizza photo was taken after a field trip to a restaurant where each child made and brought home his or her own pizza. He had a great time. Don't you love the November calendar (below) too? (Zoom in for full detail.) I want to frame it. I love my (not so) little guy.
