Day in Boston

We took a day trip to Boston last Saturday and walked around Quincy Market, spent some time at the New England Aquarium, and went on a whale watch. I suppose I'm too late for Saturday Sky photos, but there are a bunch below. We enjoyed our trip and would like to go again but do something different the next time around. Of course our preference would be to go to a Red Sox game, but there seemed to be a lot of other interesting places in Boston too, so we'll see. Hopefully, though, our bus won't break down on the way back next time.

Clessidra Progress and an Apology

It has been very slow going... mostly because I've just been super busy (and sick, yet again-I swear I AM taking my vitamins), but I can at least share some rough photos. (I'll be more careful to photograph them in better light and focus once I have at least one finished.) They look better in person though I should probably have used different yarn. The alpaca will have its own characteristics that might work out okay in the end, but the yarn wasn't spun evenly, so even though my stitches are typically quite even, they really don't look it. The good news is that I like the pattern enough to eventually buy some KP Gloss and knit another pair. In fact I already have some color ideas...

If I haven't commented on your blog lately please forgive me. In combination with the fact that life has been more hectic lately than usual, I haven't been spending much time online in the evenings since we watch the Red Sox games on the computer. One of these days I hope to catch up. I have lots of photos to share from last weekend's trip to Boston too. The plan is to post them over the weekend, but I'm working, so we'll see!

Addicted

I am finally back to knitting after a few weeks of pure madness (during which I managed to pass my third AIC test without complaining to you even once - aren't you proud). I went out on Saturday in hopes of purchasing some Regia silk but my LYS didn't carry any in solids, so after what was probably twenty minutes of taking a detailed inventory of everything else in the store that might possibly work, I ended up with some 100% alpaca wool. I used it to start these and absolutely love them so far. I am, however, considering starting over with size zero dpn's. It's hard to tell at this stage, but I think they will be far too loose. I'll post photos soon (unless I decide to rip).
